About Omar
Welcome to North Texas Racquet Club, home of OT Tennis Academy, where excellence in tennis is our mantra. Meet Omar, a tennis professional whose journey in the sport began in Mexico. At the age of 13, he embarked on a remarkable odyssey when he joined Gary Kesl’s esteemed tennis academy in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Under Kesl’s guidance, Omar honed his skills and witnessed the evolution of his game.
In due course, Omar emerged as Mexico’s National Champion in the fiercely competitive 16’s and 18’s divisions, earning a coveted spot within the top 20 in Florida. Post high school, he garnered a Division 1 scholarship at South Alabama University, where he furthered his passion for the game while earning a bachelor’s degree in Marketing/International Business.
Omar is the driving force behind OT Tennis Academy, bringing a wealth of experience and expertise. With an impressive coaching tenure of over 15 years and a deep-rooted understanding of tennis fundamentals, Omar’s guidance extends from nurturing beginners to fine-tuning the skills of top-ranked junior players. What truly distinguishes him is his natural knack for comprehending the nuanced mental aspects of tennis, enabling profound connections with athletes and imparting crucial mental toughness strategies essential for aspiring tennis champions. In Omar’s tutelage, budding tennis stars encounter more than just a coach; they find a mentor dedicated to empowering them, helping them realize their utmost potential, and triumph in the sport they hold dear.

Alejandra Suarez

About Alejandra
With an impressive two-decade career in education, Alejandra Suarez has guided and uplifted youth and adults to reach exceptional standards. Alongside her extensive educational background, Alejandra possesses a solid foundation in tennis coaching, providing invaluable insights to aspiring athletes. She proudly represented the USA team for Padel in both the Pan American Games (2019) and the Senior World’s Championship (2022), enriching her sports portfolio. Alejandra is thrilled to bring her passion for mentorship and sports excellence to the North Texas Racquet Club. As the Public Relations and Membership Director, she will inspire and nurture a new generation of skilled athletes and actively engage the community, leaving an indelible mark on Texas’ sporting landscape. Her multifaceted expertise will undoubtedly enhance the club’s experience for members and the wider public.

Carlos Crisostomo
About Carlos
Carlos played college tennis at Harding University where he consistently played at the top of his school’s line up, and reached up to #23 in the nation in doubles and #44 in the nation in singles of the NCAA Division II Rankings. Once his playing career was over, he decided to put all his passion into teaching the sport that he loves and gave him so much up to that point.
Carlos was the assistant coach at Harding University for a year, worked at the John McEnroe tennis academy on 3 summer seasons, and most recently he was a senior professional and tennis coordinator at Old Oaks Country Club in New York for over 3 years.

Nick Checo
Tennis Coach
About Nick
Nick began his tennis career over 10 years ago. He has competed and placed or won numerous USTA and DPTA tournaments as a junior player. In both 2014 and 2015, Nick won the DPTA Masters Tournaments and earned the right to compete representing Dallas at the State Grand Prix Tournament at Newk’s Tennis Academy in New Braunfels as Team Captain. Nick and his team captured Silver medals in this highly competitive two-day tournament event.
Nick enjoys focusing on his tennis skills and has trained at both the Texas A&M Tennis camps in College Station under the Men’s Coaches as well as Newk’s Tennis Academy as a Top Gun player. He played tennis with FISD both at Cobb Middle School and Wakeland High School rising up the ranks. Nick and his teammates won the 2016 Spring Men’s District 9-AAAA Champions and Reqional Quarterfinalists.
He graduated from the University of North Texas in December 2023 Cum Laude with a Bachelors in Recreation, Event, Sports Management. He is USPTA certified as a tennis professional coach since 2019 and has worked with OT Tennis Academy for 5 years. He is available for private and group lessons.

Pablo Guillen
Tennis & Padel Coach
About Hunter
Pablo Guillén is 22 years old and was born on July 25, 2002, in Chiapas, Mexico. He is the youngest member of his family.
Pablo began playing tennis at the age of 7 and has been passionate about the sport ever since. Through years of dedication and discipline, tennis has become one of the most valuable tools in his life—opening many doors, including the opportunity to play collegiate tennis in the United States. That experience was life-changing, offering him the chance to connect with people from around the world and broaden his perspective both on and off the court.
He is a former NCAA Division II college tennis player and a graduate of Salem University, where he competed on an athletic scholarship and earned a degree in Business Administration and International Business.
During the summers, Pablo began working as a coach. For over three years, he has been involved with summer camps, academies, and country clubs across the U.S. and Mexico, coaching both tennis and padel. Padel is a sport he has played for more than four years and developed a strong passion for.
Pablo is currently excited to join the team at North Texas Racquet Club and OT Tennis Academy. He looks forward to continuing his work and helping more athletes by sharing the knowledge and experience he’s gained from over 16 years in tennis and 4 years in padel.

Max Karseno
Tennis Coach
About Hunter
Born and raised in Carrollton, Texas. Max grew up in a family that loves playing and watching all sports. His dad played collegiate tennis and brother competed in track and field in college. Max favored tennis and baseball his life as he competed in both throughout high school before choosing to play tennis at the college level.
Max just finished his third season playing at East Texas Baptist where he has been voted team captain the past two years, won multiple all-conference awards, and lead his team to the programs first conference championship title this season and he was named the conference tournament MVP. This season he reached a regional ranking of #4 in doubles which is the highest n ranking by a pair in ETBU history. He is now entering his senior year and will graduate in May of 2026.
Max has always had a passion for coaching and first started coaching tennis at age 16. He brings high energy, and the goal of help develop players to become better tennis players and grow their love for the game.

Justin Garcia
Master Racquet Technician
